How is personal information used?

What steps does Enliven take to prevent fraud?

We take a number of steps to verify the identity of loan applicants. We compare information submitted during the application process with information provided by trusted third parties, e.g. credit-reporting agencies. If we suspect that an application is connected with fraud, we take preventive actions, such as contacting the applicant or account holder, monitoring the account for evidence of theft or fraud, resetting passwords or security codes, closing the account, or notifying law enforcement. Enliven Personal Loans

Who can apply for an Enliven Personal Loan?

  • You’re a resident of Canada and live in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, or Yukon.
  • You’ve reached the age of majority in your province.
  • You’ve been discharged from bankruptcy.
  • You’ve established a credit history.
  • You can make monthly payments to pay off your loan.
  • You need a loan for personal, family, or household purposes.

What documents are needed to get an Enliven Personal Loan?

After you apply online, Enliven must verify the following information on your application:

  • Identity
  • Address
  • Employment
  • Income
  • Credit History

We require a voided cheque for withdrawals.

  • Voided cheque cannot be a starter check, temporary check, or deposit slip
  • Bank teller stamped Pre-Authorized Debt (PAD) form is also acceptable

How is the interest rate calculated on Enliven Personal Loans?

Enliven’s interest rates start at 17.99% (APR). The term APR means “Annual Percentage Rate”. The term “simple daily interest” means the interest that is accrued every day is equal to 1/365 x APR x the remaining principal owed. Use the calculator on Enliven’s home page for an example of how much it will cost to borrow money. Your loan documents show details of your repayment, as well as the interest rate that your loan is subject to.

What are Enliven’s payment terms on Personal Loans?

We offer personal loans with terms of 12 months to 60 months, providing you with the flexibility to live on your terms.

Enliven Home Equity Loans

Who can apply for an Enliven Home Equity Loan?

  • You’re a resident of Canada and live in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Ontario, or Yukon.
  • You’ve reached the age of majority in your province of residence.
  • You’ve been discharged from bankruptcy.
  • You’ve established a credit history.
  • You can make monthly payments to pay off your loan.
  • You need the loan for personal, family, or household purposes.
  • To qualify for an Enliven Home Equity Loan, you must be the owner of the property securing the loan, and the property must be your principal residence. If other people own the home with you, they would also need to agree to the Enliven Home Equity Loan terms.

What documents are needed to get an Enliven Home Equity Loan?

After you apply online, Enliven must verify the following information on your application:

  • Identity
  • Address
  • Employment
  • Income
  • Home Ownership
  • Property Valuation and Condition
  • Credit History

  • Government property assessment
  • Municipal tax assessment
  • Recent mortgage statement
  • Annual statement if dated within 30 days
  • A formal appraisal may be required

Enliven’s interest rates start at 12.99% compounded semi-annually. Home Equity Loans are compounded semi-annually, which is twice per year at the end of each six-month period. Loan Application Process

How long will it take to complete an application?

We have a simple, 5-minute online personal loan application process.

The interest rates on the website are a range. When will I get an exact number?

The exact interest rate is calculated after you submit your loan application. If you are not satisfied with the interest rate offered, you can decline the offer at no cost to you.

Will you check my credit history?

We check your credit history and credit scores. Don’t worry if you’ve only recently started building your credit or if you have made a mistake in the past. We take into account many factors in addition to credit scores, including employment information, residential information, and your overall financial picture.

Does applying for an Enliven loan affect my credit?

Yes, but only in a similar way that an inquiry from any lender affects your credit. When any lender looks at your credit report to make a lending decision, that inquiry will remain on your credit report for two years. Each inquiry affects your credit score. However, the impact varies from person to person based on other factors in the credit report. When you pay Enliven back on time, you help build your credit history in a positive way. The Financial Consumer Agency of Canada provides information for consumers in regards to their credit. If you are looking for a copy of your credit report, you may request such directly with the two agencies in Canada: Equifax and TransUnion.

How soon can I expect a decision?

Personal loan pre-approvals are instant. In some cases we may need your help verifying information, which may require additional documents and the process could take slightly longer. If you have any questions during the process, please contact us at hello@weenliven.com.

How soon can I expect to receive the loan?

Once approved and you have signed the loan documents, we transfer the money to your bank account. You can even receive the funds the next business day, depending on when we receive your paperwork.

Can I fill out the application on my smartphone?

Yes, our application process works on a smartphone or a tablet.

Where can I check the status of my loan?

When logged in, you can find your profile, loan status, payment details, and other information from the navigation menu. Click “My Loans.”

Does Enliven charge fees?

We do not charge any fees for  Enliven Personal Loans. That means no origination fees, no processing fees, and absolutely no hidden fees. And we don’t charge any penalties if you choose to pay your personal loan back early. If you have applied for an Enliven Home Equity Loan with us, double-check your terms for more information. There are fees associated with Home Equity Loans.

Can I repay my loan early?

Yes! You can repay unsecured Enliven Personal Loans any time with no prepayment penalties. You can also make lump sum payments or increase your scheduled payments with no penalties. If you have an Enliven Home Equity Loan with us, double-check your terms for more information.

Why is there a minimum monthly payment?

Regular payments help make your finances predictable. A minimum monthly payment also reduces our risk so we can continue to offer great rates to financially responsible people like you. As well, a fixed monthly payment ensures your balance is paid out at the end of your loan.

How does Enliven take payments?

We aim to make the borrowing experience easy. Loan payments can be made through:

Pre-authorized Payments
Our clients are set up on automatic deductions at the time of the loan but you can change the payment date to coincide with your pay cheque or other income that you expect to receive. All you have to do is call us at + 1 (844) ENLIVEN (365-4836) to change the payment date.

Mail Payments
You may mail your cheque or money order to the Enliven central office. Mail your payments at least 5-7 business days before the due date to be sure your payment is received on time.
